From July 23 to August 4, the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) led a joint experiment in northwest of China to valid the domestic satellite data, specifically its application in the field of agriculture and desert ecology.

China GEO Supports Thai Chemical Factory Explosion Disaster Response
Responding to requests from the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), ChinaGEO Secretariat activated its Disaster Data Response (CDDR) Mechanism to provide high-resolution satellite imagery in support of disaster response.

Multiple Mare Flooding Events Occur inside Von Kármán Crater during Imbrian Period
There had been at least three mare flooding events occurred inside the Von Karman crater during the Imbrian period, according to a research paper titled "Mare basalt flooding events surrounding Chang'e-4 landing site as revealed by Zhinyu crater ejecta", authored by Dr. GOU Sheng et al. and recently published in Icarus. The research is conducted by the planetary mapping and remote sensing team led by Prof. DI Kaichang from the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Science under the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
