Digital Belt and Road Program (DBAR)

Digital Belt and Road Program (DBAR), an international science program for the sustainable development of the Belt and Road region using Big Earth Data, was officially launched in 2016. DBAR aims to develop a platform to share expertise, knowledge, technologies and data demonstrating the significance of Earth Observation Science and Technology (EOST) and Big Earth Data in support of these global frameworks for policy development and solutions to regional and global problems. DBAR Foci are centered on Big Earth Data and interconnected through broad theoretical concepts. DBAR has established eight Working Groups and one Task Forces to address individual Foci and approved eight International Centers of Excellence (ICoE) for representing DBAR’s vision to collaborate with different partners all over the world.
