Satellite Navigation Included in SCIE Database

Satellite Navigation, an English-language journal hosted by the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has been indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) database. This inclusion covers all articles published since the journal's inception in 2020.
Satellite Navigation stands as China's first SCI journal in the field of navigation. Launched in January 2020, it was added to the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) in January 2021, indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in October 2021, and achieved an impressive impact factor of 11.2 in June 2023. Notably, it ranks at the forefront in three related disciplines: aerospace engineering, telecommunications, and remote sensing.
In the aerospace engineering discipline, the journal holds the top position in impact factors among all SCI and ESCI journals. In early 2022, it was also indexed in Scopus and EI databases. Its latest achievement is the December 2023 inclusion in the SCIE database, securing its place in the aerospace engineering, telecommunications, and remote sensing categories.
Satellite Navigation boasts a debut CiteScore of 14.6, placing it in the Q1 zone in aerospace engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and signal processing, positioning it in the top 5% globally in these disciplines. Furthermore, it achieved an initial ESCI impact factor of 11.2, ranking first globally in the JCR aerospace engineering category.
The journal primarily publishes original articles, reviews, and communications covering a wide array of technical domains, including satellite navigation signal processing, signal receivers, anti-jamming and anti-spoofing techniques, satellite orbit determination and time synchronization, multi-sensor and integrated navigation, global navigation satellite system (GNSS) enhancement technologies, autonomous navigation, spatiotemporal reference frame establishment and maintenance, spatiotemporal reference frame transmission, high-precision clock technology, surveying, and transportation applications.
Currently, AIR hosts five English-language journals, namely Satellite Navigation, Microsystems & Nanoengineering, International Journal of Digital Earth, Big Earth Data, and International Journal of Remote Sensing. These publications collectively contribute to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering international collaboration in various cutting-edge technological fields.
