Cooperation on Accessing and Application the Spaceborne Hyperspectral Data (CASH) Science Committee Conference Held in Zhuhai
On September 23, 2021, the first science committee conference on Cooperation on Accessing and Application the Spaceborne Hyperspectral Data (CASH) was held in Zhuhai. The conference was hosted by the National Earth Observation Data Center (NODA), co-organized by the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Zhuhai Orbita Aerospace Science and Technology Co., Ltd.
The conference, presided over by Tong Qingxi, CAS Academician, also the committee chair, was attended by experts from AIR, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhuhai Orbita Aerospace Science and Technology Co., Ltd., among others.
Committee members reviewed and approved the 2021-2022 Strategic Plan, discussed how to promote academic exchanges with international counterpart by building an international cooperation platform.
CASH is a global effort to accelerate a large-scale and interdisciplinary open access and exploitation of hyperspectral satellite data and information. The activities will focus on exploiting big hyperspectral data-oriented information infrastructure, knowledgeable spaceborne data and information management. Now data from Zhuhai-1 and GF-5 hyperspectral satellites as the first batch are open to science teams. Users can apply to use these data through email: noda cash@aircas.ac.cn.
