AIR to Build National Earth Observation Data Center
A review meeting was held at AIR on September 2 to discuss the construction of the National Earth Observation Data Center (NODA). Prof. LI Guoqing, head of the center, gave a detailed report on NODA’s 2020-2025 development and implementation plan.
Supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST), NODA is designed as China’s largest remote sensing database which is supported by more than 20 domestic satellite agencies and research centers.
ChinaGEOSS Data Sharing Platform is the international data portal of NODA, acting as a coordinator to pool and promote Chinese Earth observation resources to participate in regional and global GEOSS activities.
ChinaGEOSS connects China’s remote sensing data resources with GEO data portal, enabling users to access more than 30-million remote sensing images, especially the Analysis Read Data for 500 TB and more than 100 published scientific datasets.
