The "Promoting Crop Biodiversity through Innovative Space Applications (CropBio)" project was officially launched in Bintulu, Malaysia on June 5-6, 2024. This project was initiated by the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIRCAS) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

On June 3-4, the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Science (SLRSS) from the Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) signed a cooperation agreement with the Center for Geographical Information System (CGIS), University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. This collaboration aims to advance the National Key R&D Program " Integrated remote sensing monitoring of ecosystem over Asia-Oceania hot areas ".

The Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with an Azerbaijan research institute on September 6, 2023, to promote collaboration on geospatial technology and applications.

The opening ceremony of the 2023 International Training Workshop on BeiDou Technologies and Applications in the Belt and Road Countries and Regions was unveiled in Beijing on September 12, 2023, attended by nearly 30 students from Yemen, Algeria, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Cameroon, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria, Pakistan, etc.

Its engagement extends to vital initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative , the Global Development Initiative , carbon neutrality , disaster risk reduction , and furnishing technological backing for global sustainable development .
